I was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee. While growing up being the daughter of a Pentecostal Minister, my exposure to some types of music was very limited. Most of my early training and exposure was singing solos with church choirs and at social events

I had a great love for country music, Conservative restrictions did not keep me from the wonderful ballads of Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and many others. As time continued to go by, I was so greatly influenced by the progressive styles of Jo Dee Masina, Sarah Evans, Faith Hill and others.

It was 1995 when I felt the urge to start writing about some of the things I felt inside and how I saw the world. As the years went by, I realized that country music not only represented the joys and heartaches through ballads, but was also a fun emotional and creative music

I realized a very important thing about country music. You can't learn it, you can't teach it. It has to be in your heart and soul. I knew my style of country was a combination of the heart and soul of what I felt, If I don't feel it, I don't sing it

I participated in and won the $5,000.00 prize at Sam's Town talent showcase with a song I wrote A Whole Lotta Country. The experience boosted my confidence. Added to that was a wonderful experience finishing a 4 song demo with Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, Ca. Produced by Jeff Weber

In the fall of 2004 I was invited to perform at Farm Aid in Seattle, WA. In talking to some and listening to others such as Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Trick Pony and Dave Matthews, I realized once again the true spirit of country music and how well defined it is

I have subsequently finished my first album Livin' on Love at Masterlink Studios in Nashville, TN produced by Ben Keith (Jewell). The players in Nashville are totally awesome and include musical greats spooner Oldham, Larry Byrom, Eddie Bayers, Kevin Grantt, Mike Utley, Shane Theriot, Don White, Vic Jordon, Mickey Raphael and others. Describing these guys as some of history' best is an understatement.
